Undiscovered Gyrl by Allison Burnett
Review (Part Two) by Lauren
Summary: Beautiful, wild, funny, and lost, Katie Kampenfelt is taking a year off before college to find her passion. Ambitious in her own way, Katie intends to do more than just smoke weed with her boyfriend, Rory, and work at the bookstore. She plans to seduce Dan, a thirty-two-year-old film professor.
Katie chronicles her adventures in an anonymous blog, telling strangers her innermost desires, shames, and thrills. But when Dan stops taking her calls, when her alcoholic father suffers a terrible fall, and when she finds herself drawn into a dangerous new relationship, Katie’s fearless narrative begins to crack, and dark pieces of her past emerge.
Review Part Two: In the first part of the review, I told you all that I was enjoying the book and that didn't change as I continued the second half. I have now read it all and I found it to be a very intriguing novel. The end is a bit interesting...I can't say much, or else I might ruin the story, but it had me sitting there going "wait, that's it? what's happening?" This book is definitely about the idea of truth and fiction...if you're online, how do you know it's true? One person could be anyone. You just don't know.
Now, I wasn't a huge fan of the ending right away but I do think it goes along with the story fairly well. I will admit that I want to know more though. However, beyond that, I do recommend this. For the whole story and for the end. It should make you think about love (is there a happily-ever-after?), life (what makes you alive? how do you know you're living?) and so much more.
I'm really glad I was able to read this one. I only wish it was longer!!

I read a few personal blogs, but usually find them kind of boring. I tried keeping one and failed miserably. I just don't have anything that exciting to talk about! ;)

I think personal blogs can be ok, but it makes it alot easier if you really know the person. If not it obviously wont make any sense :)

I only read personal blogs of my friends or people I know personally. And I think they should be private as you don't want strangers reading about your life.

I like personal blogs, as long as the person has something interesting to say. If it's just the same old boring stuff day after day, I would quickly lose interest.
I think it's quite brave that people are willing to share bits of their private lives, but I would never write a personal blog.

Personal blogs can be fun to read, if the person has an interesting life. I was thinking about starting a personal blog, but then I realized my life wasn't very interesting. :D
Personal blogs are goo if someone is abroad and wants to keep their friends up to date. I have a co worker who recently moved to Germany for a job and she started a blog so that we can see all the cool stuff they are doing and so we can all feel more connected.

I love personal blogs because they are like mini-autobiographies and sometimes they really inspire me to try new things.

My feeling is it's sort of like a diary and I don't want everyone reading my diary. I follow a couple of personal blogs but often their lives are so different from my own or even from the life I would want to lead that I don't find them terribly interesting.

Oh! And to answer your question, I am not really fond of personal blogs. I think it's great alternative to journals because that is what I use it for.

I have two personal blogs. One for my experience with sports (mainly running) and fitness and the other one is basically stuff about school, family life ect. I write for myself. I don't keep it private, but not many people go on them anyways.
