I have had many encounters with celebs and I never leave Mississippi.I worked for Morgan Freeman at his club and apartments for a year or two.I met Brad Pitt and did not even know it was him for a while and I was rude to him!
My best friends mom and step dad were friends with ZZ Top and the guys stayed at there house when they would come to town.That is just a few,I have many more but I don't want to hog up all the room.

I've been a huge Kenny Chesney fan before he had a hit on the radio and have been fortunate to talk to him backstage several times. It's amazing to see him from playing with a guitar in front of 100 people to selling out football stadiums yet he's still the same down to earth small town guy he's always been.

Roy Rogers came into KFC when I was eating there with my family. I kept looking for his horse until I saw his wife in a car outside. Disappointed.

My boss let me know that a friend would be coming into the office and he'd be showing him around - my project got briefly interrupted later when he came back to introduce his friend... "David I'd like you to meet my friend Scott - " Scott Hamilton was standing in the doorway! 2 time Olympian, 4 time world champ just hanging out. He's battled through Cancer at least a couple times, and is still full of life and positivity!
I have meet Kenny Chesney when came and visited our high school. We went to the same High School, Gibbs High School.
I also have met Peyton Manning at a kid's football game. That was years ago tho when he still played for the VOLS.

When I was a young swimmer I met my ultimate celebraty Victor Davis LOL, but only a swimmer from the 80's would know who he was I suspect. He was perfection to me :) MY husband and I saw one of the Baldwin brothers in Vancouver, no idea which one - they all look alike to me ;) but he was standing beside us while a light turned. Here were I live, there are Celebraties, but they live here to be invisable and I think we all go out of our way to not notice them, and I have not seen many here.

Well, I once saw Boris Johnson (who is the mayor of london) at a restaurant but I didn't go up to him and talk to him because he was having his dinner and I thought it would be rude.
Last year for my birthday my family took me out to dinner for my birthday. While we were eating we noticed a guy sitting in the back who looked an awful lot like John Lithgow. Nah, we thought. He couldn't be in our small town.
After dinner we passed by his window and looked at him closer. Uncanny resemblance. My son decided to go in and ask while we cowered outside in the bushes. It was him! We even got his picture (from outside the window).
i meet authors relatively often as a librarian actively involved with the american library association etc. but my best experience was when i hung out at a party all night with daniel handler (aka lemony snicket) without realizing who he was until the end of the evening! apparently he's a friend of a friend and we had a blast together!

Being from a small town, I haven't had too many celebrity encounters. When visiting NYC one year though, I was standing in line behind Stephen Baldwin in a little convenience store. I was also giggling because I'd never before been that close to a famous person.

I went to a book signing luncheon where Ina Garten (the Barefoot Contessa) was the guest of honor. She was a very generous and kind person. I had all her books that she had written up to that point and she took the time to sign them all and to chat.

A years ago, I was at a little bar in NY called The Commons. THere was big snow storm so the place was pretty empty-Hooty and the Blowfish were there and they sang for everyone (all like five of us)-It was really cool
