An Idea Oprah Winfrey Could Love

Author E. Van Lowe wrote about this project called The Purple Couch on his blog, and I apologize for just now getting it posted here...because it's an amazing idea and I really hope it will be seen on a TV near you soon.

To read more about the project, visit E's blog for the full details.

The basic idea is this...a purple couch will show up somewhere and they ask that people sit down, and talk about a defining moment in their life. And we all know that some of the most unlikely people have the most amazing stories. And I'd love to hear more of them.

There is even an update on E's blog about how this is moving forward a little more...and they are getting ready to pitch it for the OWN network (you know, Oprah...) which would be a perfect spot. It actually reminds me of Oprah's show, when she has your everyday people on talking about their extraordinary lives.

So check out the blog, leave your thoughts. Feel free to comment here as well. I'm sure E would love to know your thoughts as well since he really believes in this project.

This is a wonderful idea. It's so profound to think of one's defining moments and to hear about others.
