Review by Lauren (all opinions are my own):  I was given the opportunity to review one of the personalized books above, so I chose Our Little Deer. This will be a gift for my nephew from my parents. The story is simple, but really cute. Perfect for a younger child! I love that you can choose a photo of the child to include in the book and that it's used at the beginning and the end. As for the child's name, it is repeated throughout the story and not just in the beginning! I loved that too. It really is a personalized book for your child, and what little kid wouldn't get a kick out of seeing their own name and picture in a book? It would certainly promote reading!

The actual book is a sturdy hard back book. I think the option of a board book could be nice if you want to personalize for a real young child, but regardless, I really like the finished product. The font of the story is cute because it almost looks like a child wrote it out. You can see an example page below!

The process of creating this book was really simple. You are given a section to put your child's name as well as who the book will be from for the cover page. Then you upload a photo that will be used twice in the book. Across from the photo in the beginning of the book is your dedication page. We ended up using the stock phrase they had in the box - for (child's name), our little deer. But then we did add Merry Christmas and Happy Reading! What you put is up to you of course. I think our dedication is really cute though. After that, your part in the product is finished. I do like that the website allows you to view the pages though, so you can see exactly what the final book will look like! This way you know if you want to purchase or not.

I'm just not ready for Christmas books yet, Lauren :) November just started (well, not really...) and there are Christmas decorations in all the shops already.
These definitely sound cute, though.
Have a great Monday!

Like Lexxie Lin above I loathe mention of the C word this early and yet previous experience has proved that if you want this kind of book in time for Christmas you need to order early.

On the look out for some personalised books for our great-nephews (2 and almost 5) books one and three look promising. I'm not sure about the second one though as I think Twas The Night Before Christmas is such a well loved classic that I'm not sure about this version plus of course Sesame Street is not nearly as big here in the UK.

I had the opportunity to do these but I didn't. I think my kids are getting a bit too old for picture books, they are starting into chapter books. Where has the time gone? The do look adorable.
