Tied to Trouble by Megan Erickson

Tied to Trouble by Megan Erickson

Official Summary: Chad Lake only showed up at his sister's party for the free food, but when he spots an uptight nerd at the edge of the crowd, he can't resist trying to ruffle the guy's perfect bow tie and impeccable hair. The hottie’s ready for him, though, and in the end, it's Chad who's left wide-eyed, his ears still ringing with the filthy things Bow Tie whispered in his ear. No one gets the upper hand on Chad. Ever.

Owen Hawkins has heard all about the cocky Adonis from Chad’s sister—the same sister who holds Owen’s career advancement in her hands. He has every intention of steering clear of the other man…until Chad's sexy taunts push him too far. There’s something intriguing about Chad, and even though Owen knows that getting tangled up with the infuriating man is trouble, he can’t seem to stay away…

Review: This is the third book in the Gamers series by Megan Erickson. However, it's the only book I've read and I think it's quite possible to read just this one or read them all in order. It's up to you! Each book focuses on a different couple, and Tied to Trouble is all about Chad Lake and Owen Hawkins. Chad is the younger brother of Marley and Owen works for her, so it's no surprise the two guys end up meeting each other. However, they don't really know who each other is until the book goes on. Owen figures it out quicker, seeing Chad in a family photo in Marley's office, but Chad doesn't figure out Owen's identify for awhile. It makes their encounters a bit more interesting!

Tied to Trouble is definitely an adult read. It's intense, passionate, and full of sexual encounters. Simply put - this is one hot read. However, I loved that it was a good mix between the passion and the actual story though! Owen wants a long-term partner in his life but he's not sure he can handle everything that goes with it. He gets nervous and pushes people away. As for Chad, he's never really given much thought to settling down and he's known for jumping from job to job. He wants to change though; he's just not sure how.

I like that the two guys were good influences on each other in different ways. Chad helped Owen open up and feel more, and Owen inspired Chad to do better in his life for himself and not anyone else, even though he does want to impress Owen and do well for his sister.

This is not the first book by Erickson that I've read, so I'm definitely a certified fan, and if you haven't given any of her m/m novels a shot, I highly recommend!

It's nice when you have a great author like that. Plus I like the fact that we can read it our of order

Oh my goodness, I had to laugh at the synopsis as we have a friend who only shows up to parties and the like for the free food.

This isn't something I can see myself reading but each to their own I'm glad you enjoyed it and know several friends who would.

Glad there was ore to this than just the hotness factor. ;) Great review!

It is always good when a hot book can still actually have a story to it. Great review!

This looks like a great read. I appreciate it when a book can stand by itself despite being in a series or having overlapping characters. Some books that I read out of order confuse me, but this one looks like it's understandable.

I have not read a novel by Erickson before- but I do have one of her books on my TBR (I attended a signing last year), but I'm definitely looking forward even more to her books now!

I like that this one also includes a supportive relationship and character development, but of course the romance scenes are a positive too ;)

I haven't read any Erickson books yet, Lauren, but I have several on my TBR. And I think I really need to get to know Chad and Owen, they sound great - both together and apart. And I'm all for some adult reads, as you know ;)
Great review.
Have a fantastic Friday and happy reading.

I haven't read any of Erickson her books. It's nice that you can read the series out of order if you want to. That's interestinh they don't know who the other is when they first meet, sounds like it ads a fun touch to their encounters. I like it when there's a good combination between sex and story. Great review!
