Sunday Post: Harry Potter and the Annotated Books

Sunday Post is hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer

It's OCTOBER! And I'm very excited as this is my favorite time of the year. Favorite month, favorite season, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. Earlier today I went to a wedding for an old friend of my sister's and it was very emotional. It was a lovely wedding though and I'm glad I was able to attend. I have one more wedding to go to this year and that one will be in December. I'm excited about a winter wedding. I think it will be very beautiful.

I thought I'd use today's Sunday Post to share some news.

First up, if you didn't see my post before this one, October will be Harry Potter month on my blog.

There will be all sorts of fun posts, including some guest posts from other HP lovers. What will probably be MOST exciting for you are the giveaways - and there are at least 10, but in the end, I think there will be around 12 or 13. Some are open to Canada and a couple are even International, so hopefully you will keep checking back. I'll share all the posts (and the giveaways) on Twitter so please follow me there if you aren't already.

I'm currently shopping for one of the swaps I signed up for, the Swapoween swap. I love Halloween, like I said above, so this is exciting. I sighed up for a fall swap as well (look in my right hand corner for the button/link if you want to sign up). I saw this one done over the summer - it's a seasonal swap - but I didn't really have the time/money to take part. I don't necessarily have tons of money right now, but I couldn't pass it up again since it's the fall and well...you see where I'm going here. I just love this season!

Not much else is new here! I'm going to try and review some of the fun events I've been attending or will be attending - and by that, I mean a concert (went last week) and a stand-up comedy show (going this coming weekend). I used to be really good about doing this type of thing, but with trying to schedule ahead, I don't always do it these days and I want to change that. I love seeing what other bloggers do in their day-to-day lives, so keep an eye out for some of my posts on those things.

FINALLY, I want to let you know about two auctions that are running right now. There will be a lot of great ones going on in October and all money benefits The Trevor Project, so please follow Leave a Mark Auctions to be automatically updated. I also plan to have more giveaways on the auction site too as a thanks for people that spread the word and/or bid, so that's another reason to follow!

With Malice by Eileen Cook - this one ends TODAY at 9 p.m. EST so don't delay!

My Seventh-Grade Life in Tights by Brooks Benjamin - this one ends Friday, October 7 at 9 p.m. EST!

Anyway, that's about it! I hope you all enjoy Harry Potter month. If you want to write something, let me know! I can share it here or you can post on your own blog and I'll link back to it/tweet out the link. If you don't like Harry Potter, that's okay! I'll still have other posts, so don't stay away.

-Lauren

So exciting, indeed! I wish I were a fan of the HP franchise but sadly, I never really caught on. I'm sure most of your readership will be able to appreciate your month of dedication, though.

I wish you the best of October, Lauren!

Happy reading.

Halloween is a fun time of year. If I hadn't already reread the Harry Potter series this year, I would start now. I will probably have a Harry Potter movie marathon this month. This is the perfect time of year for it :)

Wish you all the best with your Harry Potter month and Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween too though I am always slightly disappointed that in the UK costumes have to be scary vs. Just costumes as I think it means you can be less creative. Oh well. At least there is candy!

Hope you have fun with your Harry Potter month. I think for 2017 my goal will be to read Harry Potter... My kids are starting to want books I've read, so I should start with that series!
