I was born in 1965 before CD's - we had cassette's, vinyl and 8 tracks lol

And I've talked to people about shows I watched as a kid - even some early SNL stuff and no one knows what I'm talking about.

Karen @For What It's WorthKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13958940283330319507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5639675212408846217.post-22792941501195102782016-12-02T13:01:24.956-05:002016-12-02T13:01:24.956-05:00Oh, man. Sometimes I think about how my grandkids are probably going to refer to me being born 'last century', as though that was such a long time ago. Thanks for sharing such a fun post!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13854277991316667331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5639675212408846217.post-40371982585099211972016-12-02T00:02:48.378-05:002016-12-02T00:02:48.378-05:00Lol love this. I also remember discmans and having to carry around loads of CDs to play them X) Overall, I'm okay leaving most of these things behind in the dust - especially VHS tapes. Remember how awful it was to rent a VHS tape only to find out that the person who had it before didn't rewind it so you would have to spend forever doing so and ruining the movie in the process?? hahaAyleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07639250102446794830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5639675212408846217.post-70188692702855655912016-11-30T23:29:26.015-05:002016-11-30T23:29:26.015-05:00Ohhh well, ALL of these, but I am extra old sooo.....Ohhh well, ALL of these, but I am extra old sooo... ;) I also was like a little old lady who tried to refuse technology when I was younger too. Like, when CDs came out I refused to switch from my cassette tapes... until it was getting ridiculous. Same with DVDs, I wanted my VHS FOREVER. Which in hindsight, was stupid bwhahah. But I CRAVED the internet. I wanted ALL the information on ALL the things. Like I wanted Wikipedia before it was invented. I remember when my very first friend got the internet and it was HUGE. Like, we didn't even have instant messenger or email or anything because she was the ONLY ONE with it at that point. Ah, good times. How about Napster? I was illegally downloading music before anyone said it was illegal ;) This post is SO fun! All that fast forwarding and rewinding... ugh! LOL But making mix tapes was the best. My wedding video is on VHS... and I still haven't had it converted to DVD! And I remember the card catalogs and those little cards in the backs of library books so well. I miss that. :)Tanya @ Girl Plus Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18357204133826428572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5639675212408846217.post-21016985801972770612016-11-30T13:42:47.584-05:002016-11-30T13:42:47.584-05:00LOL on the TV shows. I remember a lot more than my time for things as well, mostly because I spent a lot of time with grandparents that would show me things and still had a lot of really old cool stuff lying around, plus my mom at one point was a huge antique collector so that helped broaden my horizons as well. ;)Kindlemomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09084577342034704304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5639675212408846217.post-51368035819358213292016-11-29T08:59:23.685-05:002016-11-29T08:59:23.685-05:00Card catalogs are the ones that I miss the most. I get the opposite reaction though because I'm usually interacting with younger kids so they have no idea how much technology has changed since we were little.
